The purpose of an elimination diet is to uncover hidden food sensitivities that may be responsible for your symptoms. This specific elimination diet eliminates the more common food allergens from your diet - dairy, gluten, legumes, fish, seafood, nuts, eggs, sugar, corn, nightshades, latex containing foods and fruits - for an elimination period of 28 days. After the elimination period, these foods are added back in one-at-a-time to determine which, if any foods, cause symptoms.
